The Building

This elegant, stately building draws inspiration from the larger traditional homes found in Remuera. While respectful of what has gone before, it is also modern in every sense, the perfect example of timeless architecture. Enduring, beautifully crafted materials deliver a sense of permanence. To maximise sun, light and outlook, terraces project strongly towards the view and exterior walls feature extensive floor to ceiling glazing. Full length bay windows add depth to the textured concrete and crisp white walls. The building is balanced by an equally attractive garden, where the same level of design consideration has created a peaceful, green oasis for all residents. Within the building, Elm offers a rich variety of apartment types. All have excellent connectivity and flow between spaces and to the views which can be enjoyed within the apartment itself and on the expansive horizontal terraces that incorporate planter boxes. The result is large, individual apartments, full of light and
warmth, where the living is both sophisticated and easy.

Amenities

Elm includes the amenities you've come to expect, with a few extra surprises. Unique to Elm is a sheltered, private garden, a kiwi interpretation of the traditional ‘English’ gardens often found in Remuera. Carefully placed natives complement much-loved exotic trees and shrubs. The centrepiece of the garden is a nine-metre heated swimming pool, with a nearby pavilion where residents gather throughout the year. This elegant structure sits slightly away from the pool, making it the ideal place for a quiet drink with friends. The well-equipped kitchenette invites its residents to make an evening of it by hosting a private dinner party in the pavilion or out on the grass.

REMUERA IS A RICHLY - STORIED AND MUCH LOVED SUBURB

— The rolling green of Remuera from the sky

Orakei Road is one of Remuera’s premier streets. Quieter than Remuera Road, it has a tranquil, calm quality, especially at night. Living here, residents love its northerly aspect, the sweeping views, leafy streetscape and settled, reassuring character. The building is close to Remuera’s well-known shopping precinct and excellent schools, as well as the amenities in Orakei Road. It is a short walk to boutique shops, welcoming restaurants, iconic cafes, medical facilities, hairdressers and much more. When residents want to exercise, bush-filled reserves and the slopes of Mt Hobson are nearby. Easy access to the northern and southern motorways takes residents to the city in minutes, while also giving them a quick getaway to their holiday home. The excitement in Newmarket and the ever-popular Eastern Bays are within a short drive.

Wide streets, mature trees and swathes of green all contribute to the character and charm enjoyed by the close - knit, friendly community.

Step Back in Time

Built in the early 20th century by prominent lawyer and businessman Victor John Larner, Elmstone was a statement in gracious living. Elm makes a similar statement, echoing the grandeur of its predecessor.

Elm stands in the former grounds of Elmstone, a large English-style home with extensive gardens.

We are exceptionally proud of what we’ve been able to deliver and the fantastic response from new owners. The feedback has been so positive.
